The two companies serve the same plan members from complementary sides of the benefit. Vida delivers the care, with board-certified obesity medicine physicians, registered dietitians, licensed therapists, and health coaches who guide members through evidence-based, whole-person cardiometabolic care and, when clinically appropriate, prescribe anti-obesity medications, including GLP-1s. ApalyRx delivers the medication, pricing each prescription in real time across multiple independent licensed suppliers, then routing the script to whichever is lowest.

The model operates on benefit rather than through a cash card or coupon. Each prescription is billed to the employer’s TPA or carrier and adjudicated as a claim, so member cost share reports to the deductible and out-of-pocket maximum through the plan administrator and HDHP and HSA treatment remains compliant under IRS rules. Every routing decision is recorded at the prescription level, giving plan sponsors auditable documentation of what the plan paid, what the alternatives cost, and why each prescription went where it did, the evidence base their ERISA and CAA fiduciary obligations require. ApalyRx works alongside the employer’s existing PBM and TPA and does not replace them.
