Win marks the family-owned Michigan company’s third major honor of 2026, following Oakland Press Best Roofer and a national Owens Corning award

(August 18, 2026) – Schoenherr Roofing has been voted Best Roofing in Metro Detroit in ClickOnDetroit’s 2026 Vote 4 The Best awards, presented by WDIV Local 4. More than 163,000 votes were cast during the finalist phase of this year’s awards, which recognize favorite local businesses across 80 categories.

Schoenherr Roofing finished first in a finalist field that included Problem Solved Home Improvement, Victors Home Solutions, Kroll Construction, and Michigan Home Restoration.

The win completes a rare trifecta for the company in 2026. In May, Schoenherr Roofing was named Best Roofer in The Oakland Press Best of the Best Readers Choice Awards, voted on by Oakland County readers. That same month, the company was named a 2025 MVP Top Performer for the Great Lakes region by Owens Corning, one of the world’s largest shingle manufacturers, an honor earned against nearly 100,000 contractors nationwide.

The recognition comes at a time when much of the roofing industry is being bought up by out-of-state corporations and private equity firms. Schoenherr Roofing remains family-owned and operated, as it has been since Ross Schoenherr founded the company in 1995.
