NASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, August 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Bible with Life has set a standing policy on the most sensitive songs its users create: blessing songs made for sympathy, grief, healing, and comfort are private by default, are never displayed publicly, and are never used to promote the platform.
The Christian media platform lets users turn a Bible verse and a loved one’s name into a personalized song. Songs made for celebratory occasions may be considered for the platform’s public showcase. Songs made for the four sensitive categories are excluded automatically, regardless of how they are created or shared.
“Grief is not marketing material,” said Benny Yu, founder of Bible with Life. “Those songs belong to the family, not to our homepage. A widow should not have to read a privacy policy to find out whether the song she made for her husband is going to show up in somebody’s feed.”
The policy also applies to purchased downloads. Any song a sender pays to download is made permanently private at the point of purchase, in every category.
The platform said the decision was made as a default rather than an opt-in setting on the view that consent obtained during a bereavement is not meaningful consent, and that the burden of protecting a private moment should fall on the platform rather than the user.
Bible with Life produces animated Bible story films and original worship music alongside the blessing songs, with 45 Scripture films and 63 original worship tracks free to watch and stream. Creating and sharing a blessing song is also free.
