Addition of second Operating Partner this year reflects firm’s
continued commitment to building operating expertise in support of
its portfolio companies and investment strategy
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — RoundTable Healthcare Partners, an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced today that Ed Jones has joined the firm as an Operating Partner.
Mr. Jones has deep healthcare operating experience with a career that has centered on building and leading organizations across the healthcare industry. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthTrust Performance Group (HPG), a role he held for nearly 14 years, where he worked closely and developed deep relationships with industry leaders across the healthcare ecosystem to drive value for hospitals and health systems. He recently retired after more than four decades with HPG and HCA Healthcare.
The addition of Mr. Jones represents the second significant hire for RoundTable in recent months, following the appointment in May of Amardeep Kahlon, the former CEO of Designs for Health, a former RoundTable portfolio company. Together, these additions reflect RoundTable’s continued commitment to building its operating capabilities, aligned with the needs of its investment strategy and portfolio companies.
“RoundTable’s strategy is built on our operating orientation and our conviction that hands-on operating expertise creates significant value for our companies and investors,” said Barb Sullivan, Chair and Managing Partner at RoundTable. “Ed brings a valuable perspective shaped by decades of experience building and scaling healthcare organizations. He further strengthens the operating expertise we provide to our portfolio companies and our domain expertise in the medical device sector.”
In his new role, Mr. Jones will work with RoundTable’s investment and operating teams to help accelerate value creation at portfolio companies and contribute to the evaluation of new investment opportunities.
“Ed brings extensive experience and success in building high performing teams and identifying attractive market opportunities where companies can differentiate and create lasting value,” said Tim Connors, Managing Partner at RoundTable. “He is performance driven, collaborative, and understands how to build successful healthcare businesses. We are very excited to have his insights and leadership as part of the team.”
“Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside several RoundTable portfolio companies and developed a real appreciation for the firm’s operating approach, the quality of businesses it has invested in and the culture within the firm,” said Ed Jones. “RoundTable’s deep operating orientation and dedicated healthcare focus attracted me to the firm, and I look forward to partnering with the team to drive long-term value across the portfolio.”
Mr. Jones is a founding board member of the Health Sector Supply Chain Research Consortium, and a member and subcommittee leader of the Federation of American Hospitals. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
